If you're planning to publish an English language non-fiction book independently and are looking to put the final, professional polish on your writing or overall presentation, I can help you. Services include line editing (such as applying a consistent style throughout, correcting misspellings, syntax and grammar, etc), book restructuring and copy tasting to advise on whether your book meets basic standards of publication.

And I have a small team of highly experienced freelance artists and designers I can call on to create covers and book layouts to match current styles, dependent on genre.

Price is determined by the service you require. I do not charge hourly or daily rates but propose a set all-in fee. Contact me via this website, tell me what you need and I shall suggest a ball-park price. If you wish to go ahead, a schedule is drawn up and payment will be required in full before the start of the project.

Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) is a popular option for those writers who prefer independent publishing. It is cost-free, automated and reasonably straightforward to use. KDP offers paperback and ebook formats. However, many writers are put off by anything 'technical', and there is a fair amount of reading up to do to navigate your way through KDP, such as writing the metadata. Here I can help. I am familiar with KDP and can guide or lead you through the process up to publication. The most recent book I edited and helped put out via KDP was Anne Whitaker's Postcards to the Future: Mercurial Musings 1995-2021.

My background: Aside from my astrological practice, I also work as an editor and writer, having gained substantial experience as a freelance feature writer for The Times, The People, Marie Claire, Australia Women's Weekly and many other publications, and as a senior editor at Mirror Group, IPC Magazines, DMGT Teletext and other places. I have been editor of The Astrological Journal since 2014 and written a number of books, including my novel Curtains.
